She died in 2001 and had been married to the late Mr Eridadi Mulira. Mr E.M.K.Mulira was one of the first black politicians in the 1940s to fight for Uganda’s independence. He was a Member of Parliament in Uganda’s first Parliament from 1962 to 1971 when Idi Amin came to power. Mrs Mulira herself was one of the pioneers of most of the women’s organisations in Uganda, like the YWCA, Uganda Council of Women, etc.

6) The Hon Dr Ham-Mukasa Mulira – the current Cabinet Minister of ICT in Uganda.
7) The late Mr Nathaniel (Nat) Mulira.
